After the agency gig I hustled around for a while doing mindless freelance work and decided, as young people sometimes do, that I should see the world. I had a keen interest in Indian history and culture and planned to go there, taking the (very) long land route from Belgium. The trip was a great adventure and went very well until I got to Anamur in Turkey, where I smashed myself to bits for some reason, and so I never did get to India - which was doubly sad because I had done about a dozen little paintings of what I hoped to see when I got there...
